Baby Helen (newborn)

Families, PhotographyLaura KittrellComment

Early in June I had the privilege of taking pictures of this sweet baby girl! I was so thankful that her parents let me come and see her! We got some really sweet shots of this baby! Her mommy and daddy were such awesome new parents and definitely were doing so well for the little sleep that newborns allow! :)

How precious is this nursery? Her mommy did such a great job!

Sweet newborn skin, lashes, and lips! Love!

I was so thankful when Katie contacted me to take pictures of her sweet family! They are the most photogenic group and we all had so much fun! I always love when a family asks me to come take pictures of them at their home! The kids are in their element and I love how personal it is! This family has planted a church in the area and they are such an example of what it looks like to be His hands and feet!  I know...they are SO beautiful!!

And so silly....Thank you to the Moore's for letting me take a few of your precious family!!

I am so very behind on sharing my latest sessions and I just hate it! Thankfully, we are stepping into summer and I will be able to share a lot more (fingers crossed) :) !! This precious angel was born back in March and made this family a family of six! He was so sweet the whole time that we were taking pictures of him! I cannot say enough wonderful things about this sweet family!

This beautiful mommy makes raising five kiddos look effortless! Such a great role model! :)Sweet sweet boy! So thankful for the privilege of taking his pictures!

She is an absolute doll and was so happy during our session! I am so thankful that I got to take these and hang out with her parents for a bit as well! :)Told you....big blue eyes and full of smiles!! What a doll!

This little guy is such a miracle. I mean...I know that all births are miracles, but this baby was born very very early! He weighed just over 3 pounds when he was born and was about 6 when we had our session almost a month later! He did so good and his parents are doing such a fabulous job adjusting to having this new angel in their home! :)Thanks so much for letting me take pictures of your precious boy! I am so thankful for his life and that he is growing and thriving! What a blessing!

Sweet Sam

As I mentioned, on February 22nd my sweet nephew was born. My sister had her second all natural birth. We certainly were not expecting her to go into labor on the day that she did. However, she did an amazing job and Samuel arrived safely. What a blessing it was to witness my sister give birth to her second baby. I could go on and on about how wonderful she did! I am continually amazed by the concentration and dedication it takes to give birth to a baby naturally. I know that giving birth in general is a GREAT feat and I am certainly not sure if I will be able to give birth naturally! :) I made a couple of videos of the day of the birth and also another glimpse into the nursery and newborn pictures. God has richly blessed our family with 4 sweet babies and another one on the way! Brett and I love those nieces and nephew so much!!

After Christmas the Hawley family was in town visiting and asked if I could take some family pictures and some to document that their precious baby boy had turned 1! I took pictures of them during the summer and I cannot believe how big Henry has gotten! They are such a sweet family and this little boy is so adorable and so happy! I am so happy they decided to call me again! :)

Right after Christmas I really expected things to slow down a bit with photography. A little before Christmas some friends from out of town asked if I had some time after Christmas to take a few family shots and pictures of their precious little boy. I have known Brittany for a while and every since Sam was born I have wanted to take pictures of him! Those blue eyes and blonde hair....he is just precious!! Thanks for letting me take some pictures of your sweet family! It was so fun!

Back around Thanksgiving I went to visit my brother and his family in Georgia. My aunt, uncle, and cousins were also visiting and I had the privilege to take pictures of this sweet family. Y'all, I can't say enough about this family. They are so precious. I can't even believe that Palmer is in high school and Olivia is right behind him. I was in Florida just shortly after Olivia was born. I love them....SO much! My aunt and uncle are like none other. They are a precious testimony of love and faith. Their marriage is such an encouragement to me and Brett and I LOVE when we get to spend time with them! Here are a few of this sweet family...

Love you all so much!! We will have to take more when we visit in Tampa!

Baby Shepherd (birth--pictures)

On November 13, 2013 I had the absolute privilege of photographing a birth. This was the first one I have done for someone who is not a family member. I have known Annie for a long time! She contacted me about wanting me to be present for the birth a bit before and I was just thrilled. This was Annie's third baby, she and Chop's were not finding about the sex of the baby, and Annie was planning on going natural. Oh my word. Can we talk about what a rockstar she was? She had everything against her. She was induced, they broke her water, and she was three weeks early! Gracious me....but she did it! She was so amazing! After several LONG hours of labor that precious boy made his grand entrance! Chops was also incredible as well....so encouraging...so helpful! They were such a great team! He helped her as she went through the pain and the exhausting task of delivering baby Shep. I shared the video I put together a bit ago but wanted to share some pictures as well. Sweet husband...

Really...aren't the precious? Can't you just see all of the emotion from the work to the relief when he is finally here! I cried and cried as the baby entered the world! :)

Thank you Annie and Chops for letting me be apart of this emotional and special day! Y'all are precious friends and I am so grateful for you!
