30 Day Photography Challenge-Days 10, 11, 12, and 13

LBK, PhotographyLaura KittrellComment
Day 10 was a childhood memory. Well, this week we have been teaching money in first grade and while I don't remember this in school, I certainly remember playing with pretend money MANY times when I was little....
Day 11 was something blue and literally I forgot till right before I went to sleep. This is framed in our bedroom. It's a print with a blue bird on it with Matthew 6:33 on it that was given to me. It was purchased from Jones Design Company. LOVE this site!
Day 12 was supposed to be the sunset. I missed it cause I was watching my husband coach and WIN I might add in basketball. I figured that could be my picture since this is a 30 day challenge and there are 31 days in January. I'll just move things up a day! :) He is cuter anyways!
Day 13: Sunset....so pretty behind my house
Haven't done todays....workin on it!

Our Happy Day- The Beginning

WeddingLaura KittrellComment
The night before my wedding was just perfect. My sister and brother-in-law spent the night at our house and we had a full house that night after the rehearsal and dinner. My sister and I slept together the night before her wedding so she returned the favor. We talked and talked and finally fell asleep. I woke up the next morning feeling great. I was ready to marry Brett!
Amy, Linds, mom, and I went and got our hair done that morning and then mom and I headed to Camp Grace. God couldn't have given us a more beautiful fall day! I got to see all of my flowers and everything coming together! We made our way back to where the girls were going to get dressed. I didn't want my groom to see me!
There's my sweet flower girl!! :)
Mom doing my makeup
Time for the dress!! :)
Let's talk about the dress. It was just beautiful and I knew from the minute I put it on that it was for me. No, I didn't have a "say yes to the dress" moment but I still LOVED my dress!!
Brett and I chose not to see each other before so we decided to just exchange letters.
There's my groom!
Reading our letters
A few details....the slippers
Something old, something new, borrowed, and blue!
My pearls that my parents have added to since I was a baby and my ring I got for graduation
Beautiful garter my mom made for me
Mom has a handkerchief with the monograms and wedding dates of each of the three of her children who have gotten married on each of the corners.
A beautiful barrette my Aunt Amy gave me to wear as one of my "something blues"
More to come.....

30 Day Photography Challenge-Days 3, 4, and 5

Ok, so just because I haven't blogged everyday doesn't mean I haven't kept up with the project!
Day 3 was a bit of a fail.
Assignment: Clouds
There was literally not a cloud in the sky all day long from where I was! It was a BEAUTIFUL day but we had to settle for a glimpse of the moon in the afternoon! :)
Day 4: Something Green
Eric, Linds, and V came in town for a surprise visit. Well, this little girl is being potty trained and when she goes in the potty she gets M&M's. So...something green. :)
Day 5: From a high angle
Sweet girl in a bubble bath! So thankful she is here to snap pictures of! We will have two pictures today just cause she's so precious!
Tomorrow is Friday. Whoop.

30 Day Photo Challenge-What I Wore Today

LBK, PhotographyLaura KittrellComment
I was on my own so pitiful iPhone pictures will have to do. I have no full length mirror either.. :)
It was back to work today and surprisingly cold all day. So, we had a green peacoat, black dress underneath, black leggings, and my most favorite boots ever.
So comfy.
Sorry about the quality....Oh, and the unmade bed in the back ground mom.
Brett's day off=no bed making :)

A Few Things

LBK, PhotographyLaura KittrellComment
I have been seeing plenty of posts about resolutions. I have made my fair share in the past. Some I have kept and others I have not. I don't have a long list of resolutions and really I am not making any. But, I do have a couple of projects that I certainly would love to keep up with. I really wanted to do project 365 and take a picture a day. I may do this but decided after seeing this post that I would stick to something small first.
So hopefully, this will be a bit more attainable. I like that there is "an assignment" for each day. It makes it easier! I will hopefully complete project 365 too but for now, I will stick to this! For now, here is Day 1. It is my pitiful excuse for a "self portrait" tonight, wet hair and all! :) This is real life yo!
There are a few other projects as well that I will share in the future! For now, here is a fun sparkler picture from New Years!
Back to work tomorrow....not terribly excited.. :)
Thank you Lord for new beginnings!
