I Heart Face Photo Challenge- B&W

PhotographyLaura KittrellComment
I Heart Faces does a photo challenge monthly (used to be weekly). I always loved looking at them and seeing other people's pictures. I had never entered one but decided to give it a go this month.
I was looking through and had a few that I chose but ultimately narrowed it down to this one from Africa a few summers ago. Love that sweet face and beautiful eyes! :)

Shoot With Virginia

Family, PhotographyLaura KittrellComment
So I already shared a good many photos from my weekend in Georgia but, while I was there I was able to play more with my new camera and got some good pictures of this sweet girl.
So......more of the little girl I love. :) Don't worry in April I'll have a new niece to photograph and in August another niece or nephew! :)

Weekend Away

Family, Life, PhotographyLaura KittrellComment
We ended our break with a weekend in Georgia with my brother, sister-in-law and sweet niece. It was a perfect way to end this break and of course we took plenty of pictures. I love playing with my camera and making memories with my niece. It is also nice to take pictures of V's day to day life and get her momma in some pictures since she rarely gets to be in any!  Warning...lots of pictures :)
Oh Uncle Brett...
Sweet tootsies!
Sweet girl helping Aunt Laura and momma with some baking..
Snuggling and watching Thomas the Train with Uncle Brett
Reading a story with Aunt Laura
Good morning sweet pea!
Like I said, I got to take some pictures of V and Linds. I am sure that it will be the same way when I have kids and I won't get to be in a ton of pictures with my children. I hope Linds doesn't mind me sharing these of her belly but there were some sweet pictures that came out.

I LOVE this girl!
I took a lot more pictures that turned out great but I'll have to update that post tomorrow! I have to go get ready to get back to the real world tomorrow. Boo....What a nice week off!
Ready or not....here comes Monday.

Sweet Birthday Boy

Photography, the two of usLaura KittrellComment
Yesterday was a day to celebrate this guy and I personally think he is worth celebrating!
We started the morning with monkey bread and presents! OH....the bed head. :)
He got some basketball shoes, a few treats, and a weekend away in the ATL in April to see the Braves play and shop and such!
Oh, and can I just say that I have an awesome husband. On HIS birthday he chased the mailman down to pick up my camera. WE missed the mailman and he drove around to find him so I could have it. So we had some fun with that...

LOVE YOU BIRTHDAY BOY!!
Pretty, perfect, COLD day!!
Then, last night we headed to Outback with Brett's brother Drew and his girlfriend Ashley!
Such a fun night!
Joel Brett Kittrell, I am sure glad you were born 23 years ago! You are such an amazing husband and my best friend! Thank you for all that you do to provide for me and take care of me! Thank you for being a huge encouragement. I love you so so much!!

30 Day Photography Challenge-Days 10, 11, 12, and 13

LBK, PhotographyLaura KittrellComment
Day 10 was a childhood memory. Well, this week we have been teaching money in first grade and while I don't remember this in school, I certainly remember playing with pretend money MANY times when I was little....
Day 11 was something blue and literally I forgot till right before I went to sleep. This is framed in our bedroom. It's a print with a blue bird on it with Matthew 6:33 on it that was given to me. It was purchased from Jones Design Company. LOVE this site!
Day 12 was supposed to be the sunset. I missed it cause I was watching my husband coach and WIN I might add in basketball. I figured that could be my picture since this is a 30 day challenge and there are 31 days in January. I'll just move things up a day! :) He is cuter anyways!
Day 13: Sunset....so pretty behind my house
Haven't done todays....workin on it!

30 Day Photography Challenge-Days 3, 4, and 5

LBK, PhotographyLaura KittrellComment
Ok, so just because I haven't blogged everyday doesn't mean I haven't kept up with the project!
Day 3 was a bit of a fail.
Assignment: Clouds
There was literally not a cloud in the sky all day long from where I was! It was a BEAUTIFUL day but we had to settle for a glimpse of the moon in the afternoon! :)
Day 4: Something Green
Eric, Linds, and V came in town for a surprise visit. Well, this little girl is being potty trained and when she goes in the potty she gets M&M's. So...something green. :)
Day 5: From a high angle
Sweet girl in a bubble bath! So thankful she is here to snap pictures of! We will have two pictures today just cause she's so precious!
Tomorrow is Friday. Whoop.

30 Day Photo Challenge-What I Wore Today

LBK, PhotographyLaura KittrellComment
I was on my own so pitiful iPhone pictures will have to do. I have no full length mirror either.. :)
It was back to work today and surprisingly cold all day. So, we had a green peacoat, black dress underneath, black leggings, and my most favorite boots ever.
So comfy.
Sorry about the quality....Oh, and the unmade bed in the back ground mom.
Brett's day off=no bed making :)

A Few Things

LBK, PhotographyLaura KittrellComment
I have been seeing plenty of posts about resolutions. I have made my fair share in the past. Some I have kept and others I have not. I don't have a long list of resolutions and really I am not making any. But, I do have a couple of projects that I certainly would love to keep up with. I really wanted to do project 365 and take a picture a day. I may do this but decided after seeing this post that I would stick to something small first.
So hopefully, this will be a bit more attainable. I like that there is "an assignment" for each day. It makes it easier! I will hopefully complete project 365 too but for now, I will stick to this! For now, here is Day 1. It is my pitiful excuse for a "self portrait" tonight, wet hair and all! :) This is real life yo!
There are a few other projects as well that I will share in the future! For now, here is a fun sparkler picture from New Years!
Back to work tomorrow....not terribly excited.. :)
Thank you Lord for new beginnings!
