I was so excited for this wedding! After spending time with this sweet couple during their engagement session and seeing Katie's bridals, I could not wait for the day! Their wedding party was so much fun, and everyone was so excited for them! Katie was such a beautiful bride! We had a blast at their reception as well!

Such a precious first look! Congratulations Katie and Dave! I am so thrilled that we got to be a part of your day!

Justin and Erin (married)

I met Erin and Justin in the spring of last year. I was so excited to shoot their wedding back in March. Erin is so sweet. She was such a considerate and relaxed bride. All throughout the day she was constantly thinking of other people. Erin and Justin have been together for a while, and this day had been a long time coming. They had known each other since they were kids. It was a gorgeous day and a  beautiful setting for a wedding.

Justin and Erin, I hope your first few months of marriage have been wonderful! Thank you for letting me be a small part of your day!

I have so much catching up to do, because now this baby is almost a year old! I have had the privilege of taking her pictures for almost a full year! I can't wait to share her 9 month pictures as well, but for now, here are some sweet 6 month shots! It was a freezing cold and windy day, and this little angel rocked it out with tons and tons of smiles! From the minute she got out of the car she turned it on! She is so precious!!

Thank you Waite family for letting me take that baby girls pictures!! I just love her and love your sweet family!

This beautiful girl has been a friend for a while. If you remember, I shared she and Dave's engagement pictures a while back. Her wedding will be on the blog very soon! Her bridal portraits were so much fun! It was a gorgeous day, and Katie wanted to take them at her parents beautiful home. I was so excited to share these after their wedding. Katie's dress was so incredibly perfect, and she was the most beautiful bride!

I love this! That beautiful picture above the mantle is a portrait of Katie when she was younger. Katie, you are gorgeous! Thank you for letting me take your bridal portraits! Can't wait to share their wedding very soon!

My first wedding of 2015 was a beautiful February day! We had the most perfect weather! I have known Alison since high school, and was so excited when she contacted me to photograph her wedding! She was such a gorgeous bride. Their wedding was at the beautiful Bragg Mitchell Mansion in Mobile. They were so much fun, and so happy to be getting married! The party continued late into the night, and it was such a blast!

First look! So precious

Congratulations Garrett and Alison! Thank you for making the start of my 2015 weddings so much fun!

Evelyn's Nursery

PersonalLaura KittrellComment

This room....it is probably my favorite now. I just love it, and love how it came together! I am so excited to share it, and will be even more excited to show my little girl!

When we began thinking about the nursery I knew that no matter girl or boy I wanted a good bit of it to be gender neutral. We painted the nursery a very pale blueish/green color. The pictures actually make the color seem a little brighter. Her bedding is also plain white which is also pretty neutral.

We have certainly added some girly touches because....while I didn't want all pink.....she is a girl and I wasn't going to pass on the opportunity to make it a little girly for her!

We recovered this glider and I love how it turned out! I really love the fabric we chose!

This sweet painting above her crib was done by an amazingly talented friend! I love it! Also, you may see a little bird theme going on. When we decided on her name (which is a family name, but also one Brett and I just loved) we looked up what it meant. Well, somehow we saw in French that it meant "little bird"...Um, doesn't everyone look up what their child's name means in French? Actually, pretty sure it just didn't mean anything cool in English. Oh well....so yes, there is a little bird theme.

That same friend painted this as well. This little poem is one my mom's grandfather said to her all them time, and then my mom said it to us!

This crib was found by my aunt in Tampa, FL a long time before I was pregnant. It was saved for me, and I just love all of the details of it! This is the sweet outfit she will wear home from the hospital!

And that is that. Just waiting on her to arrive so we can show her around! :) Hurry up little girl!

A Shower for Evelyn

PersonalLaura KittrellComment

Our little girl has been so incredibly blessed with so many showers over the last couple of months. Sweet parents from my school, the staff at my school, Brett's work, and family have been so kind, and shown us so much love! This particular shower was thrown by my sister and sister-in-law. I am certain my mom helped a good bit as well! There were so many sweet details, so many sweet friends who came, so much good food, and precious gifts!

We like a monogram around here.... :)

These cakes were so beautiful, and also incredibly delicious! They were from Ellen Jay .

See....so many sweet details! There were little birds eggs everywhere that my sister had decorated lots of different ways!

Sweet prayer cards for my girl

The food was incredible!! Homemade muffins, fruit, a grits bar, and lots more!

So thankful for all the friends who were able to come!

Love this friend who is due just days before me!! :)

And I had to include a sweet picture of this precious niece!! Love sweet Sadie!

Mangs, Linds, mom, and all who came....thank you so much! THANK YOU for taking the time to come. Thank you for all of the sweet details, and all that y'all did to prepare! Brett and I were so blessed and overwhelmed! We cannot wait for Evelyn to meet everyone!

A Little Baby Update

PersonalLaura Kittrell2 Comments

Man oh man! Long time no talk! Hoping to get lots of photography posts together for when this baby comes! I have so much I would love to share! It has been challenging trying to finish up school, finish weddings/shoots, edit, and finish preparing for baby girls arrival! Plus, being almost 37 weeks has presented lots of exhaustion! :)

I also want to share about my showers and share pictures of her nursery! It is finished and it probably my favorite room in our house!

A few weeks ago my sweet husband and I went down to the beach and he took some maternity pictures of me. We also used the tripod and got a couple of the two of us. It's tough to be the photographer. I am sure that one day when we have more than one child or even when Evelyn is older, we will have to get someone else to take some for us! :) Although we have mastered the self timer, and Brett has gotten pretty good with the camera! I love how they have turned out!

At 37 weeks I am feeling a little more uncomfortable than I have been! I am still sleeping well, and am so thankful for that! I feel so blessed that I have had a good pregnancy and really felt so great for the most part! I am still feeling her move all around, but can certainly tell my body is getting ready to have this little girl soon! Although....it could still be 3 or 4 weeks away! :)

Her laundry is done...thank you notes are done.....hospital bags are mostly packed....and now we are just waiting!

Mostly, I am just incredibly thankful! I am thankful for sweet family and friends who have showered us with so much love and support! I am thankful for a healthy baby girl who is growing! I am thankful for every kick that I get to feel! I am thankful for a husband who is so supportive and sweet! I am thankful for his excitement! It is precious!

We are so grateful to the Lord for giving us this sweet blessing! We are so undeserving of such a special gift! God is so so good!

Baby girl, we cannot wait to meet you!
