I am so very behind on sharing my latest sessions and I just hate it! Thankfully, we are stepping into summer and I will be able to share a lot more (fingers crossed) :) !! This precious angel was born back in March and made this family a family of six! He was so sweet the whole time that we were taking pictures of him! I cannot say enough wonderful things about this sweet family!

This beautiful mommy makes raising five kiddos look effortless! Such a great role model! :)Sweet sweet boy! So thankful for the privilege of taking his pictures!

Sweet Sam

As I mentioned, on February 22nd my sweet nephew was born. My sister had her second all natural birth. We certainly were not expecting her to go into labor on the day that she did. However, she did an amazing job and Samuel arrived safely. What a blessing it was to witness my sister give birth to her second baby. I could go on and on about how wonderful she did! I am continually amazed by the concentration and dedication it takes to give birth to a baby naturally. I know that giving birth in general is a GREAT feat and I am certainly not sure if I will be able to give birth naturally! :) I made a couple of videos of the day of the birth and also another glimpse into the nursery and newborn pictures. God has richly blessed our family with 4 sweet babies and another one on the way! Brett and I love those nieces and nephew so much!!

I had quite a busy weekend! On Saturday, my amazing sister gave birth to my new nephew! In honor of that, I thought I would share a few pictures from our maternity session. It was cold and a little bit brief. I guess that's what happens when you have a toddler running around! :) But, she made thirty-seven weeks look pretty amazing! We are so thankful for this precious baby boy who is now out of her tummy! I will have LOTS to share from birth pictures to newborns in the next few weeks!

Sweet big sister!Seriously, isn't she beautiful? Anyways....lots more to share in the next few weeks! It's been a bit silent over here. I will try and be better! :)

The Hawley Family

After Christmas the Hawley family was in town visiting and asked if I could take some family pictures and some to document that their precious baby boy had turned 1! I took pictures of them during the summer and I cannot believe how big Henry has gotten! They are such a sweet family and this little boy is so adorable and so happy! I am so happy they decided to call me again! :)

The Gilbert Family

Right after Christmas I really expected things to slow down a bit with photography. A little before Christmas some friends from out of town asked if I had some time after Christmas to take a few family shots and pictures of their precious little boy. I have known Brittany for a while and every since Sam was born I have wanted to take pictures of him! Those blue eyes and blonde hair....he is just precious!! Thanks for letting me take some pictures of your sweet family! It was so fun!

The Williams Family

Back around Thanksgiving I went to visit my brother and his family in Georgia. My aunt, uncle, and cousins were also visiting and I had the privilege to take pictures of this sweet family. Y'all, I can't say enough about this family. They are so precious. I can't even believe that Palmer is in high school and Olivia is right behind him. I was in Florida just shortly after Olivia was born. I love them....SO much! My aunt and uncle are like none other. They are a precious testimony of love and faith. Their marriage is such an encouragement to me and Brett and I LOVE when we get to spend time with them! Here are a few of this sweet family...

Baby Shepherd (birth--pictures)

Families, Life, Photography, UncategorizedLaura KittrellComment

On November 13, 2013 I had the absolute privilege of photographing a birth. This was the first one I have done for someone who is not a family member. I have known Annie for a long time! She contacted me about wanting me to be present for the birth a bit before and I was just thrilled. This was Annie's third baby, she and Chop's were not finding about the sex of the baby, and Annie was planning on going natural. Oh my word. Can we talk about what a rockstar she was? She had everything against her. She was induced, they broke her water, and she was three weeks early! Gracious me....but she did it! She was so amazing! After several LONG hours of labor that precious boy made his grand entrance! Chops was also incredible as well....so encouraging...so helpful! They were such a great team! He helped her as she went through the pain and the exhausting task of delivering baby Shep. I shared the video I put together a bit ago but wanted to share some pictures as well. Sweet husband...

Really...aren't the precious? Can't you just see all of the emotion from the work to the relief when he is finally here! I cried and cried as the baby entered the world! :)

Thank you Annie and Chops for letting me be apart of this emotional and special day! Y'all are precious friends and I am so grateful for you!

Sarah Nell and Christian (married)

Sarah Nell and Christian were married in Mobile at the Magnolia Manor. It was a bit of a dreary day and we were afraid that rain might come that way! Thankfully, the rain held off and it was such a beautiful ceremony!  Sarah Nell and Christian had a ceremony where the Lord was truly glorified. These two have been together for a while and this wedding had been a long time coming! I have known Say for a very long time! It was such an incredible privilege to photograph her wedding! Here are just some of their special day!

Such a handsome groom!

They are related if you couldn't tell! :)

I love this of Sarah Nell and her twin sister!

How beautiful is she?

Her sweet momma!

I love this of Say looking out the window watching her guests arrive!

Congrats Say and Christian! What a perfect day this was! Thank you for letting me be a small part of your day! :)

A Few Photography Updates

Families, PhotographyLaura KittrellComment

It has been so incredibly challenging to find time to update the blog with all of the various shoots I have had lately. Between October, November, and December I had nearly 30 shoots plus a wedding and a birth that I had the privilege to photograph. This time of year is so busy because of Christmas card shoots and I wanted to share at least some of the many shoots I have had these last couple of months. These families are so precious and I feel so honored to capture their special moments!

This is the Brenes family. I have been so fortunate to take pictures of them the last couple of years!

The Reid Family. You may recognize this beautiful family from several shoots including newborn pictures with Miss Sadie back in September!

This is the Dean family. They were a referral but we put it all together that we knew each other! :) It was a cold day but Joshua was as sweet as he could be!

Thank you for braving the cold with me!

Last year I got to take pictures of Bryson for his first birthday and this year we took more of he and his sweet parents who are old friends of mine! These are some of my favorites I have taken!

We rescheduled for various reasons over and over again but were finally able to get some pictures of this sweet family! These children are so precious!!

I had so many pictures of these girls and their mom and dad that I LOVED! These are the Garrett girls and they were so precious! Nothing says southern girls like white heirloom dresses and bare feet sitting in a rocking chair! :)

I have known this family for such a long time. Jack used to be my youth pastor and pastor and Brandi spent time with me when I was in middle school and was such a role model in my life! Now, they have three BEAUTIFUL children and we had such a fun time in the cotton field!

I have taken pictures for the Busby family on several occasions now and even had the privilege to shoot her first and second birthday parties. This is one from their Christmas card shoot! Those blue eyes kill me!! She is so precious!

I took pictures at sweet Emiliana's first birthday party so I was really excited to take some of the whole family this year! Aren't they a beautiful family?

Natalie and I never really knew each other but we read each others blogs religiously for a long time!! I have watched these little girls grow up via the Internet and taking their pictures was such a dream! :)

I met up with the Howard family at their house one afternoon! We had so much fun! Those babies are so incredibly cute!

I have taken pictures of Collins and then newborn pictures of Miss Lucy and finally was able to get the whole family in a picture! They are a BEAUTIFUL family that I have known for a long time!

The Manley's request was hay bales and cotton! Well, we waited just a bit too long for cotton fields unfortunately but came upon these hay bales and we were just giddy! They are such a sweet couple and we got some great sunset pictures!

These girls were so sweet and so well-behaved! I can't even tell you! They loved having their picture made which makes my job really easy! :)

These boys....let me tell you. Those older two are GREAT big brothers! Honestly, they were just so sweet and cooperative! I chased the little one around and we got some great pictures!

Back in June, I had the privilege to second shoot for a wedding with the fabulous, Alana Damron. Marikate has been a friend of mine for years and I was so thankful she asked me to help! It was such a beautiful, southern wedding for such a sweet couple!

So so beautiful!!

Sweetest thing ever! :)

They were so so happy! Thank you again Marikate for allowing me to help capture your special day! It was incredibly beautiful and such a perfect day!
